The exciting Vallegón canyon, classified as a level 2 canyon, is located in the municipality of Amieva (Asturias), approximately 30-35 minutes by van from our activity base in Arriondas. Once our transport drops you off at the location, you’ll only be separated from the canyon entrance by a short and beautiful 5-minute walk.
This level 2 canyon, accessible throughout the year, offers an exciting adventure that extends over 2 hours of pure adrenaline, with a very complete and continuous route that includes both horizontal and vertical progression sections. The Vallegón canyon offers an exciting journey of about 2 hours duration. It’s a very complete canyon that stands out for its diversity. It combines horizontal sections where you’ll walk along the riverbed, slide down natural slides, and make exciting jumps (optional); with vertical sections that include up to 4 rappels, with heights varying between 8 and 22 meters, providing an impressive aerial descent experience.
The descent of this canyon has the advantage of a medium water flow level, which allows you to enjoy the exciting activity throughout the year. Additionally, both the entrance and exit of the canyon are extremely accessible, just a 5-minute walk from the starting point, ensuring a comfortable experience.
