Rubó Canyon
Rubó Canyon, classified as a level 1 canyon, is located in the picturesque town of Trescares, in the municipality of Peñamellera Alta (Asturias). Once we arrive at the site from our base of operations in Arriondas, approximately 40-45 minutes by van, we will embark on a 20-minute walk to the entrance of the canyon, where the real and exciting adventure begins.
This level I canyon is perfect for beginners and those who want to enjoy a gentle and accessible canyoning experience. The route of Rubó Canyon offers approximately 2 hours of exciting horizontal progression activity, which means you will advance by walking along the riverbed. During this adventure, you will slide down natural water slides and have the option to make small jumps into water pools, although these jumps are completely voluntary and can be avoided if you prefer.
It is important to note that in this canyon there is no vertical progression or rappelling, which makes it an ideal option for those who are starting in the world of canyoning or for those looking for a less technical experience.
Rubó Canyon has several escape points along its route, making it perfect for families and children, as you can choose to skip certain sections if you wish without compromising the fun of the activity. Once you have enjoyed the adventure to the fullest, you will only need to walk about 15 minutes to reach the transport point that will take you back to our activity base.
